Concussion Information

A concussion is a brain injury and all brain injuries are serious. A concussion may be caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head, or by a blow to another part of the body with the force transmitted to the head. A concussion can range from mild to severe and can disrupt the way the brain normally works. Even though most concussions are mild, all concussions are potentially serious and may result in complications, including prolonged brain damage and death, if not recognized and managed properly.

In accordance with our mission as an instructional league we have partnered with USA Football and the NFL to adopt a better and safer way to play football.  Heads Up Football® is a comprehensive program developed by USA Football to advance player safety in the game of football.

This program includes the only nationally recognized coach’s certification. Concussion and safety training certified by the CDC. All head coaches in our program have taken the Heads Up Football program and are required to get background checks.
