Overview
The Littlestown Elementary flag football program is designed to teach players age 5 through 8 (Grades K-1) the fundamentals of football while having fun. To play flag football a player must be 5 years old and entering Kindergarten. The Littlestown Elementary Flag Football's mission is to teach players the fundamentals of football, in addition to providing instruction and support in the basics of the game. The Coaching Staff is committed to instilling to each child the ideals of responsibility, character, good sportsmanship, and contribute to the child's physical, social, emotional, and overall development. They learn how to be part of a team and learn life lessons on and off the field that can last a lifetime providing years of fun and fitness. LEFA is a feeder program for the Littlestown Football program. LEFA abides by a strict Code of Conduct policy. You can find LEFA's Flag Football Code of Conduct under Parent Documents.
Coaching Opportunities
We are always looking for parents/adult volunteers to help by coaching a football team. We hope you will consider helping our LEFA Football Program by coaching or volunteering. If interested, please sign up for coaching during player registration and visit the Coaches Corner tab. Please note, football knowledge and background is a MUST.
When and Where are Games?
There will be7- 8 regularly scheduled games during the fall season. All games are played on Saturdays starting at 10:00am Games usually last about 1 hour. LFlag football is an in-house program. Game location is at the Littlestown football practice fields (lower practice fields behind Littlestown High School).
When and Where are Practices?
Practices will start early-mid August. Teams will practice 2 evenings a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 6-8pm. Practice locations are next to the Littlestown High School softball field next to the track.
Game Cancellations
Games are cancelled for lightning and/or flooded fields. Games are cancelled by coaches and directors. Your team director will contact you when a game is cancelled. Games that have played 2 full quarters will not be rescheduled. The final score stands.
Registration Fees
Registration for Flag Football is $65 per player. Your registration fee includes a football flags, game pants, game jersey, socks and a mouth guard. Parents will need to provide cleats with rubber spikes. All participants are expected to fundraise. If you choose not to fundraise there is a mandatory buy-out of $40 per athlete.
How do I Register?
Registration is open every year from April through May for the following fall season. (Dates may be subject to change) Check our Facebook for most updates. (@LEFALittlestownElementaryFootballAssociation). You will need to register for a household account. This will enable you to register your child in various programs and you will then be able to receive emails from LEFA about upcoming registration and other important events. Payment is due at the time of registration (if mailing a check - it is due within one week) or your child will be placed on a waiting list until we receive payment.
